This Privacy Policy explains how BizCart ("BizCart," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use bizcart.com and related services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly and information generated as you use the Service:

• Account & contact details — such as your name, email address, phone number, and the contents of listings, storefronts, and messages you create.
• Listing & transaction details — information about businesses you list, browse, or inquire about, and your membership status.
• Usage & device data — IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and similar technical information collected automatically through cookies and server logs.

2. How We Use Information

• To operate, maintain, and improve the Service and your listings or storefront.
• To connect buyers and sellers and deliver messages sent through the Service.
• To verify accounts, process membership payments, and prevent fraud, spam, and abuse.
• To send transactional notices and, where permitted, relevant updates about the Service.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. Information you publish in a public listing or storefront is visible to others by design. We may share information with service providers who help us operate the Service (such as hosting and payment processing), and when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of BizCart and its users.

4. Cookies and Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work without them.

Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google LLC (and, for users in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Google Ireland Limited), to measure how many people visit BizCart and which pages they find useful. We use it for traffic measurement only. We do not use it for advertising, we do not enable Google Signals or ad personalisation, and we do not allow Google to use this data to build advertising audiences.

What is collected. When analytics is active, Google sets the cookies _ga and _ga_<id> in your browser and receives: the page address, the referring page, your approximate location (country or region, derived from a truncated IP address), your device, browser and screen size, and anonymous identifiers that let us count a repeat visit without knowing who you are.

What is never sent. We strip personal details out of the page address before it is reported, and on pages whose address contains an email address, a phone number, an order reference or a security token we do not run analytics at all. We never send your name, email address, phone number, postal address, order contents or payment details to Google.

Your choice. If you are in the UK, the EU, the EEA or Switzerland, analytics cookies are off until you accept them — you will see a short banner asking, and nothing is sent to Google unless you choose Accept. Elsewhere analytics is on by default, and you can turn it off at any time using Cookie settings at the foot of every page. We also honour the Global Privacy Control signal automatically: if your browser sends it, analytics stays off without your having to do anything.

How long. Analytics data is retained for 14 months, after which Google deletes it. You can also install Google’s opt-out browser add-on.

5. Data Retention & Security

We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

6. Your Choices

You may review and update your account information at any time, and you may request deletion of your account by contacting us. You may opt out of non-essential emails using the unsubscribe link or by contacting support.

7. Children

The Service is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above, and your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
